Reduce the invisible energy losses in your plant
from compressed air leaks and steam losses
KYOWAKIKO is a Japanese industrial plant maintenance specialist with over 50 years of experience. We help plants cut energy costs and CO₂ emissions through compressed air leak detection with ultrasonic cameras and Steam Saver, a steam trap designed to maintain its performance over the long term.
Compressed Air Leak Detection
Compressed air leaks occur in almost every plant and often go unnoticed because they cannot be seen. Yet they make compressors work harder and waste electricity.
Common leak points: pressure-reducing valves, valves, quick couplers and air hoses
* These are general estimates. Actual values depend on each plant.

Service features
See leaks with an ultrasonic camera
- Shows leak locations on the ultrasonic camera image
- Inspects high or hard-to-reach points from a distance (except areas requiring explosion-proof equipment)
- Can also detect leaks of other gases such as nitrogen, oxygen and carbon dioxide, depending on site conditions
Quantify the losses
- Provides estimates of air leakage volume, annual energy costs associated with leakage, and CO₂ emissions
- Proposes repair priorities for cost-effective savings
- Helps raise energy-saving awareness across your organization
Reduce inspection workload
- Our specialists use Fluke ultrasonic cameras to cover large areas in a short time
- No need for dedicated in-house inspection staff
- Results can support ISO 14001 and decarbonization activities

Good to know
Inspection during operation
The ultrasonic camera detects high-frequency sounds associated with leaks, allowing inspections in many operating environments, even with background machinery noise
Other gases and very small leaks
In principle, nitrogen, argon, oxygen and vacuum leaks can be detected, but very small leaks may not be. It is therefore not suitable as the final judgment of a leak-tightness test.
Outdoor inspection
Inspection is not possible in rain, so a reserve day may be needed
Hazardous areas requiring explosion-proof equipment
The equipment is not explosion-proof

Steam Saver: Long-Life Steam Trap
A steam trap that is “still working” is not necessarily “working properly”. Conventional steam traps can deteriorate from wear and foreign matter, causing steam leaks that are hard to notice from outside. Steam Saver is a steam trap dedicated to steam mains and tracing lines, with a simple structure that reduces this problem.
Durable
A simple fixed-orifice design with no moving parts in the condensate discharge mechanism, engineered to minimize steam leakage caused by wear and deterioration, and designed to maintain its initial performance for 10 years or more
No periodic disassembly cleaning
Foreign matter does not easily build up inside. If clogging occurs, it can be cleared by blowing or back flushing.
Lower fuel costs
Minimizes live steam leaking out with condensate, helping reduce fuel consumption
Lower CO₂ emissions
Reducing steam consumption supports decarbonization in your plant

Before installation, we offer condensate collection and measurement testing to evaluate steam loss and annual loss value on your actual equipment. For steam-using equipment such as heat exchangers, we offer O-Trap, a separate product line selected according to steam consumption.
About KYOWAKIKO
KYOWAKIKO was founded in 1975 in Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan. With a foundation in industrial plant maintenance, we have supported oil refineries and chemical plants throughout Japan, placing technical expertise and safety at the heart of our operations. We have since expanded into energy saving and carbon neutrality, and after our 50th anniversary we continue to take on new challenges for GX and a sustainable society.
